Pussy People
Even though this video was posted on Vimeo two years ago, I just now discovered its brilliance. Pussy People explores the love and compulsion of cat owners and their idiosyncrasies. London based director Andrew Lang, who’s explored everything from boxing rings inn Cuba to mud huts in the Taliban as subjects, did a brilliant job with this awesome short.

Tebe Interesno
If you’re a fan of Magritte, surrealism or science fiction, then you’ll probably love the work of artist Tebe Intereso. He’s a digital illustrator who combines a variety of subjects to create thought provoking, visceral images with a twist of irony or humor. Check out more of his work here.
The Originals
Ship Sterns Bluff, or the Devil’s Point, is a location on the south eastern coast of Tasmania, Australia that has drawn legendary surfers. Australian photographer Dave Otto recently edited material from an old hard drive that contained original Shipterns footage and captured surfers such as Andrew Mooney, Mike Brennan, Marti Paradisis, Ty Hollmer-Cross, Dustin Hollick, James Hollmer-Cross, James McKean, Sandy Ryan, Ryan Hipwood, Richie Vas, Danny Griffiths, Kelly Slater, Riley Laing, Ignacio Salazar, Evan Faulks, Laurie Towner in action.
I thought this drive was long gone and was pretty happy to stumble across it over the weekend. Covered in a thick layer of dust, and lying at the bottom of an old mouldy box I didn’t hold much hope but plugged it in anyway. Bang!!! we had noise and after 5 minutes of creaking and moaning, and a constant high pitched squeal that sounded like a cat was dying, it finally loaded. I recovered about 50 files but the other 400 or so were toast. The opening is all early paddle footage, the middle is from the biggest tow day ever and the end has a few clips from April with Kelly Slater and crew.
